How the Peers Become Good Writers?

I have to admit that editing in class is the most efficient way to help the peers improving their essays. I believe they have the same feeling as mine. It is not an easy semester for me. Especially, for the only international student whose native language is not English. Usually, the paper in the next unit is a greater challenge than the last one. The purpose of doing editing in class is helping us to find our own directions of the paper so that we won`t easily get lost when the paper goes a little bit longer. The drafts we edited were usually lack large pieces of information, and we provide useful suggestions to perfect these drafts. In my personal experience, it was quite easy to finish the first three papers when I combined the suggestions with my own ideas. The more we edited, the stronger the feeling I have. In a word, nobody can make obvious progress without the help from the peers.

There is no short cut for anyone of us to become better writers. Practically, the more we practice, the better writing we will have. Besides practicing writing, we can also acquire different suggestions from different people. That is why we let others edit the draft, because sometimes we may ignore something really important when we are writing an essay. Providing specific suggestions are really helpful and important, because they let the writer knows what not enough in his or her paper is. Reading is another way of improving our writing skills. We can learn some of the powerful or wonderful sentences through reading others` essays. We may borrow them next time in our essays, or writing as those good writers just a natural reaction. It is possible for everyone in the class to write good essays before long.
